ELIZABETH A. "BETTY" BRUCH

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Bruch, 88, of Tatamy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at home in the loving care of her family. She was the wife of the late Russell M. Bruch with whom she shared 51 years of marriage prior to his death in 1997. Born: in Tatamy on December 18, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Myrtie (Brodt) Buzzard. Personal: She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved and cherished her family. Memberships: Betty was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Tatamy and the Lutheran Church Women. She loved to sew and cook. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Barbara D. Green and her husband, Donald with whom she resided; two (2) granddaughters, Karen Kuhn and her husband, John of Manheim and Deborah Kravatz and her husband, Chris of Upper Saucon Township; three (3) great-grandchildren, Jordan, Keegan, and Elliana; a sister, Doris Brodt of Bethlehem Township; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her late husband, Russell, she was preceded in death by her two (2) brothers, Vernon and Warren Buzzard, as well as two (2) sisters, Erma Serfass and Mary Louise Stracko. Services: will be held on Tuesday, June 03, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in Hope Lutheran Church, 240 S. 8th Street, Tatamy, PA 18085. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will follow in the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Village of Moorestown Bath, PA 18014. Memorials: Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made in memory of Betty to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 363 S. Route 100, Allentown, PA 18106 and/or Hope Lutheran Church.
