Bernice E. "Bunny" Wood

1939 - 2023

Gardner-Bernice E. 'Bunny' (Morin) Wood, 83 died Thursday, February 9, 2023, at her home after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Philip A. Wood; three sons, Andrew P. Wood, Commander, US. Coast Guard, (RET), and his wife Kerri Arsenault of Roxbury, Ct, Matthew H. Wood, and his wife Deborah Miuccio of Williston, VT, and Jason Y Wood, and his wife Erica of Darien, CT; three grandchildren, Luna M. Wood, Jasper M. Wood, and Sutherland Y. Wood; one sister, Judith McHugh of Middlebury, VT.

She is predeceased by a brother, Paul H. Morin, Sr, and a sister, Jeanne Schwerdfeger.

She was born in Fitchburg on October 6, 1939, a daughter of the late Henry A. and Yvonne A. (Nadeau) Morin. She was a graduate of St. Bernard's High School, the class of 1958.

Bunny focused her energy on raising her three sons.

She worked as an aide for CAPS collaborative at Gardner High School, then as a paraprofessional at Mount Wachusett Community College with the ESL Program, and she also worked for the Velvet Goose in Gardner.

She volunteered at Heywood Hospital in the gift shop. She was a member of the Gardner Museum. She loved spending time with her family.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.

There will be a calling hour from 9:30 - 11:00 am prior to the funeral.

Her burial will be in the Greenbower Cemetery, Gardner, MA
