Giuliana Bodie Obituary
Giuliana Bodie died peacefully at Manorcare Healthcare Center in Sarasota, FL. on Feb. 10, 2017. She had led a valiant fight against Parkinsons disease. She tried not to let it limit her life and activity for many years. She was born in Trieste, Italy on May 31, 1930. She emigrated to the United States in 1955. She was able to return a couple of times to visit her birthplace. She did love this country becoming a citizen. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, James Bodie, son, Joseph Bodie and grandson, David Cormier.
She worked at Asherpants, Landoli Market, Laidlaw and Digital.
She enjoyed spending time with family whether it be in MA. or FL. She always liked to make her family her favorite italian recipes such as pasta fagioli and fried smelts. Her recipes live on with
her children.
She leaves behind her 4 daughters: Maria Cormier and her husband Dennis of Westminster, MA; Yana Snow and her husband Walter, of Sun City Center, FL, Melinda Ness and her husband Robert of Sarasota, FL, and Melissa Bodie of Jacksonville, FL; one son, John Vincent and his wife Diane of Weare, NH; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie, Jesson, Ann, Victoria, Alex, James, Vanessa, Christopher, and Matthew; and 1 great- granddaughter, Audrey. She is also survived by her sister, Thea Melia of Lindenhurst, Long Island, NY and a niece and nephew.
She will be laid to rest in the Sarasota National Veteran's Cemetary, Sarasota, FL next to her husband, James. Services will be private.

Again sorry for your loss....its a tough one to lose a mom especially since we identify with her the most...I remember meeting her a few times at Maria and Dennis', she was always very gracious and had a great sense of humor...thoughts and prayers bob and deb

Sorry for your loss..John was my brother Rick's friend when we lived in the Fitchburg projects years ago.your mom would come visit my mom..she was such a nice woman..always smiling..I was the baby of the family and I can still remember her..she worked with our mom at Asher pants and knew my mom through there son's hanging out..God bless you and your family amd comfort you..Renee (Desjean)Hall
