I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Michael from getting autographs together at minor league ballparks. He had the biggest collection of minor league cards I’ve ever seen and he always had a card for every player to sign. I always looked forward to when our paths would cross. He was a great guy and he will be missed.

Uncle Michael,
As I look back on my memories of you they cover a large array of events, from Christmas celebrations, to parades at Grammy G’s, to BBQs at Auntie Shelley’s. And across all these memories over my 24 years, including the ones in the last few weeks, I cannot recall a single one where you were upset. Even when my entire tribe of what felt like 50 people came to your house, or near the end when you were in so much pain you could barely get up. You were kind and gentle, always looking for a hug and to say that you loved me. That shows a lot about who you are as a person. I will miss you and your peaceful presence.
Love you Uncle Micheal,
Benjamin

Sad to hear of Michaels passing. Michael was a guy who always had a smile for the world. He was very easy going, loved to laugh and was just a kind soul. I am blessed to have shared a lot of good laughs with him from standing in line for what seemed hours to meet Freddie Lynn when we were kids to working with him at Victory. He had the patience of a saint trying to teach me sign language. I will never forget that guy with the Kansas city jacket my he rest in peace. My condolences to all of Michaels family. Prayers for all of you all the best Sylvia Knoll Hubbardston ma

When I think of my uncle Mike I think of a man with a big heart who enjoyed spending time with his family, and had an undying love for Baseball. I'll never forget all the happy memories we made over the years, from our trips to the ball park, to going to the movies together, or our multiple visits to Canobie Lake Park. My Uncle Mike knew how to put a smile on somebody's face. To the best uncle anyone could ever ask for, I hope you're hitting some home runs up in Heaven. I Love You!

Mrs Gilmore and family,
So very sad to hear of Michael's passing, what a guy! No matter what he was doing if he saw you his smile was always there followed by a handshake. We talked a lot about baseball and we laughed at our Little League years. A true gem of a man. Will be praying for your family during this difficult time. God Bless you Michael.

Only 1 time, did we meet. Only a few times did we talk. I will always remember those times and always be thankful for them. Will miss what could have been had I known him longer.

First of all I would like to send my deepest heartfelt condolences to the Gilmore family. Mike was a kind soul and a person who I considered a true friend, I will never forget all of the times he went out of his way to help us out during our break dancing days getting us to and from competitions. Those were awesome times that Mike was a big part of. It was an honor and a privilege to have been blessed with your friendship. I will see you on the other side my brother

I had the pleasure of knowing Michael for over 2 years. In that time, I enjoyed all of our visits. Talking about sports, laughing about stories on the news, and enjoying time with his mom. He smiled at me and gave me a big hug the last day I saw him. I just love this picture of him, as this was a true indication of who he was a person. He will be missed by myself and all the nurses who had the pleasure of taking care of him.

I'm so sad for Michael's passing. I have gotten to know Michael over the last few years while working at Burbank cancer center. We would sit and chat for long periods of time. Michael has the biggest heart of anyone I know. He would bring me items from the Woo sox and Holy cross sports teams. Just last summer Michael treated my son and I to a game at the Woo Sox as a guest of his. Last year at the This time Michael brought me in a backpack filled with pencils, rulers, eraser's and misc. other items to give to my grandson who was starting kindergarten. Michael was just so good to me and everyone that works here. Needless to say it was a sad Day Monday hearing of his passing over the weekend. I'm going to miss that smile. God definitely is getting one of the best ever !
