Scott Boulay Obituary

Leominster

Scott G. Boulay, age 52, of Leominster, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 1, 2022, after a brief illness.

He was born in Leominster, to Edmond and Pauline (Gosler) Boulay on March 17, 1969. He spent his early childhood growing up in Hudson, NH surrounded by his large family. He always felt very lucky to have so many siblings and would reminisce about family camping trips often. He moved to Leominster at the age of 10. Here he would reside the rest of his life. He attended St. Bernard's High School, where he met and made many lifelong friends. He worked for several years in his 20's as a bartender at Partners Pub in Fitchburg and later as operations manager for Leominster News, Inc. It is there where he met the love of his life, his wife Kara (Bigelow). They were married on Oct. 13, 2002, and spent 19 wonderful years together. His greatest joy came from their two daughters, Reagan and Taylor. They were his pride and joy and shared a love that only fathers and daughters can share.

Scott was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He had a knack for making people laugh, and his sense of humor and quick-witted nature were undeniable. He had a passion for politics, history, and all things presidential. He could research a topic of interest like no other. He loved working with his hands and spent tireless hours working on restoration projects at his home. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He cherished family trips to the White Mountains and the annual family trip to Cape Cod. He always had a story to tell, and anyone who was lucky enough to know him also had a story to share about him.

He is survived by his wife Kara L. (Bigelow) Boulay; his two daughters Reagan and Taylor Boulay; his brother Brian Boulay and his wife Paula of Brookline, NH, his brother Kevin Boulay and his wife Wendy of Leominster, his sister Beth Bigelow and her husband Scott of Leominster, his sister Nancy Allen and her husband George of Fitchburg, and his sister-in-law Gina Boulay of Rindge, NH., as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents Edmond and Pauline Boulay, his brother Michael Boulay, and his brother Mark Boulay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boulay Family Trust, 40 West St., Leominster, MA 01453.

The funeral will be held Monday, January 10, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster. Burial will be private.

Calling hours are Sunday, January 9, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster.

My deepest condolences to the Boulay family. I was shocked to hear about Scott. He was 5 years younger than me but would often tag along with Kevin or Bethann to play. I often played marbles with Scott. I remember that cute little grin. Many Hickory Street memories! Three Boulay siblings gone far to soon. I´m very sorry for your loss.
