John E. "Jack" Yorks

YORKS, John E. "Jack"- Of Davison, age 55, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Pastor Edward Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowview Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM-9 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John's family. John was born in Goodrich on March 25, 1952, son of the late John Erving and Guyola Eugena (Gooding) Yorks. Jack married his childhood sweetheart, Gloria King. Gloria had been his childhood friend and neighbor. He retired from Operating Engineers Local 324 after 30 years of service. Jack attended Faith Tabernacle Church in Burton. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Stacy (Scott) Perry of Flint, Chad (Sherry) of Otisville, Travis of Davison; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Carl (JoAnn) of Flint, Eugene (Betty) of Flint; sisters, Marlene Robarge of AZ, Hellen (Bill) Dohn of Flint and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Yorks; sisters, Ruthann Ward and Vera (Lynn) Arnold.
