MARY WALKER MERRITT ISLAND Mary Dorothy Ann Walker, 90, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Courte nay Springs Village Nursing Home. Ms. Walker was born in Bronx, NY and raised in West chester County, NY. A graduate of the NY State College for Teachers at Albany (1936) and Columbia University (1941), she retired from Valhalla High School in 1971 as a teacher and guidance counselor. She resided in Brevard County since 1982, living in Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, Indialantic and Merritt Island. Dottie traveled the world and loved to cruise. She has no surviving rela tives, but leaves her adopted family, Marge and Bill Mayer of Satellite Beach; her eucharistic ministers and dear friends, Charlotte and Arlin Smith of Merritt Island; and her boat friend, Louis Goyette of Blue Point, NY. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church on Merritt Island at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2006. Burial will be in Holy Mount Cemetery, Tuckahoe, NY.
