Ada Zimmerman Obituary
Friends are invited to calling hours from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday (May 18) at the home, of Harlan and Ella Stauffer, 2392 Route 230 Dundee.
Her funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday (May 19) at the Gravel Run Old Order Mennonite Church, Ray Crosby Rd., Dundee, N.Y., with Bishop Ronald Ringler officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining Church Cemetery.
Ada was born June 19, 1937 in East Earl, Pa., a daughter of the late Paul and Annie Burkholder. She married Aaron M. Zimmerman Sr.; and was a member of the Old Order Mennonite Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 12 children, Noah (Bertha) Zimmerman, Alma (wife of the late Melvin) Burkholder, David (Edna) Zimmerman, Martha (Mahlon) Hoover, Edward (Elva) Zimmerman, Ada Mae (Edward) Nolt, Ella (Harlan) Stauffer, Aaron (Dorcas) Zimmerman Jr., Allen (Mary) Zimmerman, Alice (Joel) Weaver, Anna (James) Fox and Esther (Floyd) Zimmerman; 101 grandchildren; 121 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lizzie (wife of the late Weaver) Leid and Susanna (wife of the late Benjamin) Shirk; one brother, Jonas (Bertha) Burkholder; and countless nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, George, Ezra, Menno, Isaac and Paul Burkholder; and three sisters, Minnie Hoover, Maria Burkholder and Annie Burkholder.
