Edith Mae Davis Adams

Newark - Edith Mae Davis Adams, age 88, went to Heaven to be with the Lord, Sunday (August 24, 2014), at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 28) at the Maranatha Baptist Church, 8721 Travell Rd., Lyons. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in Rest Haven Cemetery in Phelps.

Mrs. Adams was born the daughter of the late William J. and Anna Davis on Friday, July 16, 1926, in Clifton Springs, NY. She worked on the family farm with her late husband, Albert, and also at General Dynamics and Spinco for many years. Edith spent her life helping others. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy! She was always there for them no matter what. She spent over 35 years teaching Sunday School, Children's Church, and Vacation Bible School at the Lyons Assembly of God. Because of her influence, there will be many more souls in Heaven! When her children were young there was always room for one more stray boy or girl that needed help in her meager home. The car was always packed to overflowing with neighborhood kids going to Sunday School.
She will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Linda (Allen) Krzywkowski and Suzanne Williams, both of Lakeland, Florida; her three sons, Harold (Faye) Adams, James Adams and David (Anne) Adams, all of Newark; 11 grandchildren, Paul (Lisa) Krzywkowski, Julie Williams, Dana (Lynn) Adams, Ben Williams, Jennifer Adams, Jason Adams, Ashley Lane, Jessie (Kelly) Adams, Brittany Adams, Megan Adams, and Josiah Adams; six great-grandchildren, Jayden Peters, Kelsey Adams, Caleb Krzywkowski, Jazzlynn McDaniel, Kolton Adams and Aubrey Adams.
Edith was predeceased by her husband and father of her children, Albert S. Adams, in 2001.
