Ellen Parmelee Obituary
Funeral services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in memory of Ellen may be made to a charity of choice.
Ellen was born on June 19,1945 in Corning the daughter of the late Delos and Eloise (VanKuren) Dennis and graduated from Corning Free Academy.
Ellen met her future husband Gary Parmelee and moved to Geneva and raised her family, She worked in the business office at Geneva General Hospital for many years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Along with Gary they were very involved in Crafts and would travel all over to craft shows. In 1985 Gary Retired from the Geneva Police Department and they moved to Venice Florida and Ellen was the office manager at the Sarasota Hospital for several years. Gary passed away in 2016 and recently Ellen moved back to the area to be closer to family.
Ellen is survived by her sons, Gary (Diana) Parmelee, Jr. of Newark and Michael Parmelee of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Kelle Parmelee, Gary Parmelee, III and Rachel Parmelee; great grandsons, Ian and Byron; brothers, Ivan (Helen) Jacobus, John (Wanda) Jacobus, Walt Jacobus, David Jacobus; special cousin, Linda Sovereign; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Delos and Eloise; husband, Gary Parmelee, Sr.; brother, Mike Jacobus.
