Lertie Wells Obituary
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Fri. (April 3), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be on Mon. (April 6), in Glenwood Cemetery.
Lertie was born on July 24, 1934 in Afton, Va. and was a son of the late Eugene and Christine (Awkard) Wells.
He is survived by his daughter, Rowena (Ricky) McCoy of Geneva; sons, Anthony Wells and Greg Wells of Boston, Mass., Lertie Gomes of Worcester, Mass. and Starnell Gomes of Syracuse; sisters, Lola (Cleo) Hawkins of Chesapeake, Va., Rowena Wells of Afton, Va. and Christine Wells of Amherst, Mass; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Lertie was predeceased by a son, Michael Wells; daughters, Rowena Wells and Anita Gomes; brother, Eugene Wells; sisters, Molly Givens, Leola Brown and Juanita Ester Dennis.

I only knew Lertie for a short while, but he was a good man. He will be missed.
