Sarah Ford Obituary
In lieu of flowers, contributions sent to the Christ Community Church, 27 West Genesee Street, Clyde, NY 14433, would be appreciated.
Sally was born in Clyde on December 14, 1927, the daughter of Kenneth and Helen Spencer, and lived most of her life in the Clyde and Savannah communities. She married Maurice (Maurie) Ford on September 20, 1947, and was married for 64 years before his death in 2011. In her early years of marriage, she worked side by side with her husband on their farm, raising her children while also taking in foster children. She then worked for 20 years at the former Newark Developmental Center.
She is survived by her five children: Nancy (Terry) Colvin, Lynn (Anthony) Carnevale, Dana (Caroline) Ford, Kim Brabant, Cindy (David) Simkulet; 16 grandchildren: Ryan (Brett) Colvin, Deanna (Brad) Steve, Jason (Donna) Carnevale, Derrick (Stephanie) Carnevale, Meghan Carnevale, Brett (Megan) Carnevale, Danae (Michael) Donegan, Zachary Ford, Benjamin Ford, Lance (Janelle) Brabant, Stephanie (AJ) VanCuren, Danielle (Braydon) Brabant, Sarah (Sean) Christie, Brock (Robyn) Simkulet, Joshua (Anna) Simkulet, Rachel Simkulet: 21 great-grandchildren: Carter and Preston Steve, Alexandra and Nicholas Carnevale, Kobey, Dru, Jenna, and Kooper Carnevale, Taylor, Jayden, and Jax Carnevale, Reagan and Lincoln Donegan, Mason and Dylan Brabant, Mackenzie and Reese VanCuren, Braxton Edwards, Jax Simkulet, Ava and Claire Simkulet, and many nieces and nephews.
Sally was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Helen Spencer, her husband Maurice, and her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Irving Robinson.
Arrangements entrusted to the Baris Funeral Home.
