1979 - 2023

ANDREW "ANDY" RICHARD BUUCK, 43, of Decatur, Ind., Adams County, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness. Born June 22, 1979, in Decatur, Ind., he was a son of Allen Buuck and Shirley (Boenker) Buuck. Andy was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church - Friedheim. Andy graduated from Bellmont High School in 1997 and continued his education at Ball State University for Architecture and then went on to Purdue University to obtain an Associate Degree in Science graduating on May 14, 2003. He was employed as a CAD designer at All American Homes until they closed. He then went to Schmucker Cabinet and then worked at REV/Fleetwood. Andy loved building Lego's, collected coins and shot glasses. Survivors include his parents, Allen and Shirley Buuck of Decatur, Ind.; brothers, James Buuck of Ossian, Ind., Daniel Buuck pf Decatur, Ind., and Michael (Elizabeth) Buuck Decatur, Ind.; two nieces, Lila and Margot Buuck; and one nephew, Griffin Buuck. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Margaret Buuck; and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Alma Boenker. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim, with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Daniel Dahling officiating. Friends and family will also be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at the church. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Friedheim. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim. Arrangements are by the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
