Dear Garretson Family; We are so very sorry for the loss of Dan. He lived behind us for the last 7 years and was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. He was always very giving and caring and would help us with anything. Dan will be missed terribly in the neighborhood. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you.

To Sharon, Kathy, Harry, Dave and Barb...I was so very sorry to hear of Dan's sudden passing.I am especially glad now to have made the trip to Fort Wayne for Aunt Gertie's birthday last October...To have reunited with you all, to have spent time with Dan,and to have met & gotten to know you, Barb, who brought so much happiness into his life. Alf and I had a truly enjoyable visit with all of you. I can't help smiling when I think of the HUGE quantity of Chinese food Dan brought to our family gathering! It was a happy time together that will now be a cherished memory for me. Dan was a quiet and unassuming man, who always gave freely of his time and of his caring spirit. When our visit ended, he took a day off work to make two trips to the airport with Alf & me. I will treasure those extra minutes in his company. Dan also had a wonderful way with words; I will miss his letters & Christmas cards that were always eagerly awaited. He was a good man, and a wonderful cousin. I will always remember him. With love and prayers, Shirley(Daly)

Please find Peace & Comfort in this Poem:

"The Clock of Life"

The Clock of Life
Is wound but Once
And no man has the Power
To know just when
The hands will Stop
Be it Late or Early hour

Now is the only time we have
Live,Laugh,Work with a will
Don't put Faith in Tomorrow
For the Hands may then be Still

Sharon, Cathy, David and Harry and Barb. We were saddened to hear of Dan's premature passing. I will remember fondly my visit to Dan and all of you and the warm welcome I experienced. He had so many of the traits and mannerisms of his uncles in Newfoundland and I'm sure will be warmly remembered by all who knew him.
