EUGENE TIPPMANN

EUGENE TIPPMANN, 83, of Fort Wayne died Saturday, July 30, 2022. Born June 12, 1939 in Fort Wayne, Ind., Gene was a son of the late Laurence and Mary "Cross" Tipp -mann. Gene was a member of Saint Charles Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Gene was an altar server for daily Mass there and at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart. He was the founder of the Saint Faustina First Responders Prayer Group, where he was dedicated to saving the poor souls in Purgatory and educating others and how they could do the same. Gene was an adored husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Gene is survived by his wife, Marilyn Tippmann, who would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on Aug. 10; son, Chip (Theresa) Tippmann; daughters, Christy (Doug) Kayser, Monica (Chris) Nelson, Jessica Lynne (Brian) Finley; son, Matt Tippmann; daughter, Gina (Michael) Lake; son, Todd (Julie) Tippmann; daughter, Molly Jacquay; son, Michael (Lily) Tippmann; siblings, Donald (Marie) Tippmann, Laurel Tippmann, John (Jackie) Tippmann, Lois Tippmann, Helen (John) McCarthy, Barb Tippmann, Mary Tippmann, Ginny (Dave) Perkins, Sally (Rick) Ley, Nancy (Steve) Henry and Marybeth Tippmann; sister-in-law, Sylvia Winfield; 50 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren with two on the way. Gene was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Viola; grandsons, Jeffrey Woods, Luke Kayser and Joseph Tippmann; and a great-grandson, Stephen Lavelle; siblings, Mary Ann (Ed) Bobay, Father Larry Tippmann, Joe Tippmann, Bob (Ann) Tippmann, Vince Tippmann, Tony Tippmann, Denny Tippmann, Carlie (Paul) Eisaman, Tom Tippmann, Carol Ann Harncharik Hain. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
