EVELYN P. TERRY-SMITH, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at her residence. "She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother whom loved the Lord." She was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle. She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Smith of Fort Wayne; 11 children, Sally (David) Pepper and James (Sandy) Terry, both of Fort Wayne, Linda Terry of Indianapolis, Dennis (Judy) Terry of Florida, Cathy (Carmelo) Carella, Mabel Terry, Mata (John) Grose, and Janice (Mike) Arnold, all of Fort Wayne, Kayleen Grose, of Kendallville, Gayleen Terry of Kentucky, and Sheila (Rick) Curtis, of Fort Wayne; 108 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Aline Spradlin and Pauline Grisco, both of Tennessee, Veida Govea, of Illinois, Marynell Compton and Betty Lew Cross, both of Tennessee, Convie Clowers of LaPorte, Ind., and Roger Clowers of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald O. Terry; parents, Albert and Mabel Clowers; siblings, Junior Clowers, James Clowers, Lonnie Clowers, and Harley Clowers; and two grandchildren. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. I will always remember Evelyn on her porch sweeping every morning.
