Once Dr. Williams completed the program he returned to Fort Wayne in 1974 to start a private orthodontic practice in the southwest area of town. Jim was a friend, classmate, fellow orthodontist. We would always call and visit when one of our patients was moving to our respective area. He was very professional and his patients always spoke very highly of him and his practice . His family was very important to him and truly enjoyed life and outing with his loved ones. I am a better person to have known Jim and able to call him my buddy. Miss him already!

Diane, Julie, Bryan and family members:

Dee and I extend our deepest sympathies to you as you experience the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Jim made a positive impression upon our lives as we know he did with many others. We have said many times that Jim was "one of the strongest men" that we ever had the pleasure of being friends with - a true and accomplished "goal setter".

Jim will be missed on this earth, but we know that he will certainly be welcomed in the "hereafter" by his family and friends that preceded him in his "journey". May God's Speed be with you all...

Diane, I want to tell you that Bob G. was kind enough to keep us informed about Jim's condition for some time. My family gives you our love and the memories we, as classmates of 1972, will keep both you and. Jim in our hearts and prayers. Jim always gave his best in all he did. The "W" power of the Class of 1972 has lost one of our brothers. He will be missed, but always in our reminesing when we gather as friends and classmates. Perry Wainman--God Bless both of you and your children!

My sympathy to the extended Williams family. I knew Jim and Diane very casually through Dr. Tom Pequignot. Jim was his good friend and I would hear much about him through Tom. Jim and Diane were generous friends in Tom and Kay's wedding reception. Many mutual friends, so wanted to extend my support and prayers to Diane and family.

Dear Diane, Julie, and Bryan,

I send you my heartfelt condolences. What a fighter Jim was and what a treat it was to be able to call him my friend. I have such fond and fun memories of being with him and you DI at your beautiful Up North log home. Always a joke, always laughter, always fun! That's what Jim was to me, a fun bright guy!!

I am sure that you are all comforted knowing that Jim is finally without pain and at rest. Jim's physical void will be filled by all the wonderful memories you created together as a family.

I am so sorry I will not be able to attend Jim's services but I don't arrive until the 1st of June. My thoughts will be with all of you on Monday.

Sending all of you lots of love and hugs,

Joy

Dr. Williams indirectly taught me to drive (thanks to his winter car, the Taurus!) and is responsible for my straight, great-looking teeth. He provided a home for Julie and her friends, myself among them, to play, be silly, and have a great time - always! He, the Williams' Powderhorn Rd home, Mrs. Williams and his daughter Julie, are irreplaceable parts of some of my best memories of growing up in Fort Wayne.

I'm grateful to you, Dr. Williams; you'll be missed.

Love, Meghan Cast

My cousin, Jim, was a great man. Born and raised by two, J.E. and Edna, he was a perfect first son. Followed by brothers John and Joe, but preceded in death by both, he carried a great burden with not understanding why it had to be that way. Dear cousin, Jim, you now know why. You are home in your mansion that has been prepared for you. We will all be together soon. We loved all of your family very much.

I always admired Jim. I have known him all of my life. He was my first cousin , a little older than me, but Joe was only a week older than me and John was the middle son. I loved them all. They had the perfect childhood with parents, JE and Edna, who spent so much time with them developing each to their highest potential. Jim was always the focused one, studying hard, thinking about a good future. He achieved that dream and had a wonderful life (even as short lived as it was) with the most dedicated wife, Diane, and two loving children, Julie and Bryan. Heaven shines brighter with you, Jim. I will love you forever and I will see you soon.
