I continue to think about Mr. John Herber. I feel fortunate having been a teeny tiny part of his later life. It was an honor meeting and knowing him, his lovely Mrs. Herber and their adult children.

Dear John is now where he belongs for all of eternity. Knowing John, his wife Helen and his children even for only a brief time, strongly heralded in the notion of a strong and true to one another family. John had his family's respect and honor virtually all of his married life. He was adored. I worked briefly with John and Helen as a Care Coordinator for direct in-home care. John's passing has left me with an indelible lasting memory of what a strong cohesive family the Herber's represent.

Regrettably we will not be able to attend as we are out of town. I deeply admired John as being a truly principled man who "walked it like he talked it". Stopping at the Herber household 5 days a week, an oasis for me, and visiting with John and Helen was something my day revolved around.
I was fortunate to have known him.
