I don’t know if I had made many small differences in Corey’s life, but Corey had definitely made many small differences in my life during our 20 years friendship.

I haven’t forgotten the day when we communicated via TTY for the first time with my adoptive mom’s help and his adoptive mom’s help, then we met in person for the first time with my adoptive mom and his adoptive mom at the Pizza Hut in Germantown, MD during the summertime. We instantly became friends because we understood each other what’s like be a deaf adoptee in our adoptive families.

I do miss watching the movies and eating the cooked rice with him.

Corey, thank you for being there during the good and bad times in my life.

I hope we will hang out in person again one day.

Rest in Peace Corey.
