Jacob Dennis Obituary
Born on December 29, 1998, in Silver Spring, MD; he was the son of Charles and Trina Dennis and brother to Cody Dennis.
Surviving are his grandparents, Dennis and Debbie Fling of Boyds and Sherry Wertz of Hagerstown; uncles Dennis Fling, Jr. and William Dennis along with numerous cousins. John Griffith, Kittie Mattox and their children also held a special place in Jacob's heart.
Jacob was a varsity football player for Clarksburg High School. He spent his summers as a lifeguard and loved to Jet Ski in his free time. He owned a truck which was his pride and joy and lived every moment to the fullest. Jacob lived his life with a focus on Faith, Family, Friends, and Football.
Family will be receiving friends from 9-11 AM at Cedarbrook Community Church (23700 Stringtown Rd, Clarksburg, MD 20871) on Saturday, June 11, 2016 where services will follow at 11:00 AM.
Interment to follow at All Souls Cemetery (11401 Brink Rd, Germantown, MD 20876).
Arrangements were made by Hilton Funeral Home.

It's very clear by the outpouring of love and prayers that Jacob held a special place in this world. I worked with you thru the boosters and admired you as a family. I did not know Jacob prior to this tragedy. I learned the news on Wednesday morning while at work, it hit my heart when I saw the 3 young boys that I couldn't help it but cry my heart out for you and your loss. My daughter just graduated from Damascus HS last week, my nephew is in Clarksburg HS whose father, my brother at age of 28 was killed back in Mexico in 2010, with him were other 2 boys ages 26 and an old man age 82. I can't imagine your pain and sorrow, but I can tell you that our Lord Jesus will contain your pain and hold you with such a Peace that exceeds all understanding just as he did with me, my mother, and my 4 sisters when that tragedy hit home. I did not know such peace could be real until then. It was such a peace that we were able to comfort the other 2 families who also lost their sons and the family who lost their father. We were all going thru the same pain, but the peace that was on us specially my mom it was indescribable since he was her only boy and the youngest. The other families must have known it was HIM, Jesus, holding us. Please know that God loves you more than you can comprehend at this moment and his peace is real and it has already been paid for. The Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and family. I continue praying for you.

My son Devin used to go over to Jacob's house and they would go "mudding" together. That was the first time Devin ever got to do something like that. He was excited for days and didn't wash his truck off until the mud fell off. Good times and good memories. Jacob will be in our eternal prayers,

Jacob- you reminded me everyday of why I became a teacher. Bill and I are at a loss for words. Bill as his uncle, and I a new aunt that only saw him on pick ups with Danielle at elementary school asking me when I was going to marry his uncle.
