Pete Reynard Obituary

Mr. Pete C. Reynard, 78, of Knoxville, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Pat L. Reynard. They were married 59 years.

Born October 13, 1934 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Russell and Zoe Reynard.

Pete was a graduate of the University of Maryland with a double major in mathematics and physics. He and his wife lived in Hyattsville for many years before relocating to Knoxville in 2004.

A people person, Pete enjoyed a 30-year career as a realtor with ReMax Realty in Prince George's County. Prior to that, he was Director of the Computer Department for International Telecommunications Satellite Corporation.

He loved cats, riding motorcycles, bicycling, hiking and walking along the train tracks. Pete will be greatly missed by those he loved.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children; son, Russell Reynard and wife, Cathy, of Middletown; daughter, Sandra (Reynard) Ellis and husband, Tim, of Mt. Airy; and son, Wayne Reynard and wife, Melanie, of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Katie Reynard, Ashley Ellis, and Logan Reynard; and his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Pete's life will begin at 2 pm. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church, 2212 Jefferson Pike, Knoxville, MD. Officiating will be Pastor Roger Mace and Pastor Ed Jordan.

Pete will always have a special place in my heart. He was a great boss and more importantly a great person. I'm sure he dances with the angels.
