Stephane (Sam) Anne-Marie Tyler Anderson, 68, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Monday, December 12, 2022, at Doey's House. Born Wednesday, December 8, 1954 in Bethesda, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Burba and the late Jean (Conbeer) Burba. Sam was a Civil Engineer Tech and retired from NRCS in 2021 and was currently working part time as an Engineer Tech under the ACES program. She was also involved with training the Engineers. She served on the Civil Rights Advisory Committee as the Federal Women's Program SEPM and on the Earth Team Volunteer Committee as an EVT Coordinator for NRCS. Sam enjoyed crocheting, quilting and being an artist. She had a love for horses and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Denis Anderson; daughter, Erin Tyler; son, Kevin Tyler (Brittany); sisters, Valerie Biedlingmaier (Jimmy), Debra Kronsberg (Mark), and Robin MacDonald (Tim Baer). Sam is also survived by her canine companions, Bungii and Herman. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. J. Mark Curran officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, prior to the service. The asks that you please come casual. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date in the spring.
