Carole Seay Obituary

Carole Seay

August 28, 1942 - June 10, 2024

Carole Roberson Seay, 81, of Spotsylvania County, Virginia passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 28, 1942, in Fredericksburg, Virginia and raised in Spotsylvania, Virginia and Green Cove Springs, Florida, the daughter of the late Lewis T. Roberson, Sr. and Ann Cooper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Wilson Seay; her stepfather, Wilson Cooper; her brother, Melvin Roberson; her sister, Marion Moody (Lowell Moody, Sr.); and her son-in-law, Wayne Sorrell.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Kelly Seay Ripley (Billy); her son, Buck Seay (Melody); her grandchildren, Wilson, Thomas and Austen Seay and Michele Sorrell-Healy (Chris) all of Spotsylvania, Virginia; and her brother, Lewis T. Roberson, Jr. (Shirley) of Wesley Chapel, Florida.

She was a former employee of GNH Pants Factory and a paper carrier for The Free-Lance Star prior to opening her own business.

She owned and operated Massaponax Bookkeeping & Tax Service, Inc. and Wilson Seay Trucking, Inc. for 37+ years. She has been a staple as a tax preparer and bookkeeper in the Spotsylvania community. She took great pride in her work, home, yard and family.

Special thanks to her care givers, Gail Horner and Romaine Callahan. We would also like to thank the staff at Nayar Health care for all their help.

If anyone would like to go in procession to the cemetery, meet at the Covenant Funeral Home, 10830 Patriot Highway, Fredericksburg, Virginia at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, proceeding to Sunset Memorial Gardens at 9:45 a.m. for a graveside service with Chaplain Gina Maio at Nayar Health Care officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Roberson, Major Satterwhite, Dallas Barnes, Hal Perry Seay, Kyle Hayden, and Frank Stewart.

The family invites family and friends to visit and have lunch at Carole's house after the service.
