JOSEFINA N. CHACON

Josefina N. Chacon was born on April 20, 1909, near Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. to Miguel and Maria Negrete, and passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, in Fresno, CA at the age of 96. In July of 1927, Josefina married Vibiano Chacon in Brawley, CA and later moved to Fresno, where Josefina and Vibiano raised their ten children. Josefna was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and also the Guadalupana Society. She was a devout Christian Catholic woman, a great mother, a loving wife, a wonderful cook, and a gentle grandmother who loved to garden, and loved her plants and flowers. She is loved and will be dearly missed, however, we know she is in heaven with our Lord. Till we see you again in heaven. Josefina was preceded in death by her husband, Vibiano P. Chacon; her sons, Jose Gilberto Chacon, and David Chacon;, and her daughter, Maria Elena Moreno Josefina is survived by her sons, Ruben, Angel, Reyes, Ramon, Joe and Armando Chacon; and by her daughter, Victoria C. Espinosa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Catalina Rodriguez, Dina Garibay, Elizabeth Parrish, Reyes Chacon Jr., Marrianne Juarez, Larry Chacon, Ramon Chacon Jr., Gina Chacon, Jose 0. Espinosa Jr., Gabriela E. Martinez, Christopher Chacon, Nicole Chacon, Enrique Velasquez; and one great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Visitation will be held at Palm Memorial Chapel Monday, August 15, 2005, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church beginning at 6:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt.
