Joseph McMenamin Obituary

Joe was guided in life by his faith and was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, January 3, 2008, after a brief illness. He was the first child born to Ray and Erna McMenamin on April 29, 1942, in Omaha, Nebraska. The new family moved to Los Angeles soon after his birth, and Joe grew up in Pasadena where he lived and worked until moving to the San Diego area, then later to the Central Valley. Joe graduated from Sierra Madre's La Salle High School and earned a BS degree from University of California, San Diego. He became a real estate developer and broker, and most recently focused on affordable housing for the poor. Joe was generous, always thinking of what he could do for others. He was most uplifted by his years of work for a Tijuana orphanage. Joe is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Richard. He is survived and will be missed by his children Patrick and Suzanne; and by his brothers and sisters and their families: Gerald and Marguerite McMenamin, Kathy McMenamin, Mary McMenamin, John and Trudy McMenamin, Catherine and Jimmy Hansen, Thomas McMenamin, James and Jane McMenamin, Rosalie Lovett, and Joseph and Diane McFadden. Joe also lives in the memory of his many neices, nephews, and their families. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Newman Center on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at 12:00 noon, followed by interment at Sanger Cemetery at 2:00 pm. FAREWELL 660 W. Locust Ave. #101 Fresno, Ca. (559) 440-0484
