Richard Knaak Obituary

RICHARD SAM KNAAK

Richard was born on July 21, 1923 in Reedley, CA to Sam and Elma Knaak. Born and raised on the farm, Richard continued in his father's heritage of love for God and farming. After marrying his lifetime wife and friend, Edna Jost, they moved back to the family farm to raise a godly family of their own. Richard was preceded in death by his dear wife Edna just a year ago. He was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until the end. Surrounded by his three children, Don, Shirley, and Lynette, the Lord received him home on Thursday, August 11, 2005. Richard loved and was loved by seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A Viewing will be held at Cairns Funeral Home on Sunday, August 14, 2005, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In gratitude to God for his life, a Memorial Service will be held at Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church on Monday, August 15, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Palm Village Legacy Fund, Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church Building Fund, or Immanuel High School Building Fund.
