JIMMIE ROSS Obituary
Mr. Jimmie Ross, age 77, passed away November 2, 2017 at the E.T. York Haven Hospice Care Center. Mr. Ross was a member of Upper Room Church of God In Christ, and former member of St. Matthew Baptist Church, Alachua, FL. He was a retired Brick Mason, working in Construction for over forty years.
Mr. Ross is survived by his children, Jimmie L. Ross, Kathy Holmes (Michael), both of Gainesville, FL, Jessie Mae Ross, Alachua, FL; siblings, Alex McGhee, Sam McClain, Yvonne Shaw, Jessie Shaw, Gwendolyn, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ross will be held, 2:00pm, Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Upper Room Church of God In Christ, Pastor Karl Anderson, Officiating; burial will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida.
Mr. Ross will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Sunday at the Church from 1:00pm until the hour of Service. Family and friends are asked to meet on Sunday at the home of his son; Mr. Jimmie L. Ross, 2818 N.E. 13th Street, at 1:15pm to form the Cortege.

I used to have conversations with Mr. Jimmie at the Lil Champ on Hawthorne Rd. He was always smiling and had a word of encouragement. I pray that his family has peace and is blessed by those that Mr. Jimmie blessed during his life.
