Lawrence Green Obituary
Lawrence W. Green, Sr. 48, Retired State of Florida Employee, died Nov. 1, 2009 at Shands Hospital at U of F. He was a graduate of Eastside High School Class of 1980 and a member of Tabernacle of The Enlighten Church Of God. He was preceded in death by his sister Lottie Green, Cynthia Green. Survivors Include: Wife Colantha Green, Alachua FL. Two sons Lawrence W. Green, Jr. & Lorenzo Green, Daughter Elecia L. Green all of Alachua, FL. Three brothers Jerome Green, Lorenzo Green, Gregory Green, Three sisters Barbara Wells, Brenda Hughes, Ruth Jackson, all of Jacksonville, FL.,
Funeral Services for Mr. Green will be held on Sat. Nov. 07, 2009 at 11:00 AM Church Of God By Faith, Bishop James E. McKnight, Sr. Host pastor, Bishop Henry Leonard, Officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Meadows East Memorial Park. under the care of Chestnut Funeral. Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave Gainesville, FL. Visitation Friday, 2:00-7:00 PM and on Sat. at the church one hour before the service. The cortege will form at the home of Elder Boston Cobb 922 S.E. 20th Street at 10:15AM Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc.

To the Green family,
Mr. Green was such a great man. I have fond memories of the times I used to spend at his house. I also have great memories of how him and my Grandfather used to sit out on the porch and just talk for hours. My love and prayers go out to you and the entire family. If there is anything at all I can do for anyone don't hesitate to call! I love you all! He well be greatly missed but never forgotten!!

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Lawrence is definitely in a better place where there will be no more suffering. I will miss him checking on my mom
