BENTON, WILLIE MAE
Mrs. Willie Mae Benton, age 80, passed away February 9, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Benton was a member of Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother's Board.
She is survived by her children; Clarence Jackson, Edgar Jackson, Georgie Ann Jones, Diana Wicks (Clarence), Gwendolyn Gipson (Floyd), Debra Jackson, Rosa Martin (Tommie), all of Gainesville, FL, Wilbur Jackson, Tampa, FL, Valarie Jackson (Purcell), Miami, FL, siblings; Willie Lee King, Washington, DC, Robert Lee King, Charles Smith, both of Alachua, FL, Dorothy Modest (Derrick), Margaret Smith, both of St. Petersburg, FL, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Benton will be held 11:00am, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. S.R. Seales, Pastor, burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.
Mrs. Benton will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Saturday at the Church from 10:00am until the hour of Service. Family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at the home of Mrs. Benton, 1216 S.E. 19th Terrace at 10:15am to form the Cortege.
