Joshua “Josh” Johnston Davis Obituary
Josh was a life-long resident of Dublin. He was a 1997 Honor Graduate from Dublin High School. He earned a degree in finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. Josh was an Eagle Scout, served as Pledge Class President and member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at the University of Georgia and was a small aircraft student pilot. Josh was employed previously as a manager with TCB Foods/Zaxby's of Charleston, S.C. as a customer service representative at Care Medical in Athens and by the Legacy Center in Louisville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jefferson Irwin Davis III and by his grandparents, Ann and Don Johnston and Lillian and J. I. Davis Jr. He is survived by his mother Judith J. Davis; brother and sister-in-law Jefferson Irwin Davis IV and Jennifer; nephews, Jefferson Irwin Davis V and Morgan Wynn Davis, all of Dublin; great aunt Nancy R. Austin of Gainesville; as well as loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Will Clark, cousin; Craig Gannaway, lifelong friend; Ben Johnston, cousin; Chap Johnston, uncle; Chip Johnston, cousin; Jeffrey Mimbs, cousin; Adam O'Quinn, lifelong friend; Danny Pacetti, first brother in Christ; brother in Christ, John Salter, cousin; and Rob Shuman, lifelong friend, served as pallbearers.
Brothers and sisters in Christ from Bishop Baptist Church served as honorary escorts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The King's Cleft Outreach Mission, 159 Union Grove Church Road, Wrightsville, GA 31096.
