Richard Fortier Obituary
An almost lifetime resident of Florence and Northampton, Richie was the oldest child of Leonard and Theresa Fortier. In his youth Richie loved hunting, fishing, camping, and hot-rods. He maintained a lifelong love of nature and when not exploring the forest, could be found enjoying the outdoors on his bicycle.
Richie is survived by his brother Tim and his wife Lisa Fortier; his sister Theresa Fortier and her fiancé Joe Manazer; his daughter Wendy Fortier; his grandson Kyle Mullen; his nieces Sarah Gilcreast, Amy Bird and Naomi Lumbis; and his nephews Ira Gilcreast and Tom Lumbis.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service Monday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Assumption Cemetery, Leeds, and for light refreshments afterwards at the V.F.W., 18 Meadow St., Florence. Calling hours are Sunday, July 10, from Noon to 3 p.m. at Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Road, Northampton.
