Douglas Powers Obituary

Douglas Powers

November 23, 1959 - May 10, 2021

Douglas T. Powers passed away, with his family by his side, on May 10, 2021, in Grand Junction, CO.

Born on November 23, 1959, in Casper, WY, to Robert Powers and Elsie Powers (formerly Haas), Doug was the youngest of three brothers.

Sports became a focal point of his youth. He was an avid sports fan and competitor, especially from the tee box. He golfed competitively for Grand Junction High School. Some of his favorite memories were the adventures that were had on his many traveling golf tournaments.

Not only did he thrive on the course but also among the fellow competitors. He was always known to be the charismatic jokester inside the clubhouse. Doug's sarcastic commentary and quick wit always made it easy for him to make friends. There was nary a place he went that he didn't have a comrade.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his brothers, Robert Powers and Ron Powers; children, Casey Conley, Thomas Powers, and Shane Powers; grandchildren, Kade and Campbell Conley, as well as his ex-wives, Kathy Powers, Rhonda Powers, Tina Morlan, and Julie Landon.

A celebration of Doug's life will be scheduled for later in the year in Grand Junction, CO.

We played hundreds of golf rounds together and were a formidable pair.
We won numerous events and took some people´s money gambling everyday at the Park.

We had way too much fun growing up and I am sad that you passed too soon, before we had a chance to say hi and hang out.
I will pray you are at peace and God has a special place for you.
