Timothy Sullivan Obituary

Mount Vernon - Tim lost his 10 year battle with cancer on 8/17/22 with his family by his side.

He was born in Concord, MA 10/16/43 to Max and Jeanette Sullivan, the 2nd of 5 boys. Do to his father's work in the art world, they moved around. Spending time in Italy, living in Providence, RI, Portland, Or, and Cazenovia, NY, where he graduated from high school. He made many life long friends along the way.

Tim and his business partner, Dick Ryan had several manufacturing companies, including a few in Hong Kong in the late 60's, early 70's. They started manufacturing rope in N. Hollywood, CA in 1981 and moved to Anacortes in 1983 and started Puget Sound Rope. They sold in 1999. In 2003 Tim became President of Skagit Transportation ( Skagit Valley Trucking) finally retiring in 2013.

Tim was an avid car collector, mostly Cadillac's, but he loved anything with a motor and wheels.

He was a member of the Skagit Old Car Club, North Cascade Street Rod Association, and The Cadillac & LeSalle Club. Tim and Kara took many car tours over the years, local and across country.

Tim is survived by his wife of 33 years Kara, his son And daughter-in-law Logan and Ashley, and his first grandchild Lennox, to arrive in the next couple weeks.

He is also survived by his 4 brothers, Todd (Ping), Will (Beth), Mike (Cheryl), and Caleb (Georgia). Along with many nieces and nephews who he loved spending time with.

A Celebration of life will be held early October, at a date to be determined.

My sympathies to Tim's family and extended family. I grew up in Cazenovia NY and knew Tim, and visited him several times in CA in the very late 1970's /early 80's. A wonderful man with a wonderful sense of humor. RIP Tim.

I know it´s been a month, but Kara and Logan, I want you to know that Tim was more then just a boss to a lot of people that worked for him over the years. I being one, of those people. He will always have a special place in my memory , Christmas parties, Saturday night races, and his great sense of humor. He was a great man in many ways. RIP Mr. Sullivan.
