Mattie Nelson Obituary
Deaconess Mattie Henderson Nelson, 84, of 665 Holbrook Street, Danville, Va., passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at SOVAH Health, Danville, Va. Born on March 21, 1935, in Caswell County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late William A. Henderson Sr. and Elizabeth Wimple Henderson. She was married to the late James Lee Nelson Sr. The family will receive friends at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 1 p.m. from Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Serenus Churn, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held the day of service only. Online condolences may be submitted to www.fisherandwatkinsfuneralhome.com. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Nelson family.
