Loretta Henry

Loretta Arth Henry, 89, earned her heavenly crown on Holy Wednesday, March 28, 2018, six months to the day of her beloved husband's passing, Nelson Robert Henry, October 20, 1929 –September 28, 2017. They could not stand to be separated anytime in their 67-year marriage. Loretta was born January 4, 1929, in Edwardsville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Edward John Arth and Grace Joslin Arth. She was one of seven children and is survived by her sisters Viola Hessel and Joyce Giardina and sister-inlaw Mary Arth. Proceeding Loretta in death, were her sisters Evelyn Mihalic and Iola Henderson and brothers Irvin Arth and Alvin Arth. Loretta was an avid golfer, wonderful cook and traveled extensively with Nelson, seeing all corners of the globe, but her home was where she was the happiest and her children were her pride and joy. She is survived by her sons, Nelson (Shannon Lynch) and Joseph (Julie Ann Brunsky); daughters, Linda Martus (Daniel), Loretta Erba (deceased S. Michael), and Ann O'Hara (Robert). Loretta was an inspiration and a pillar of compassion and kindness to her 11 grandchildren: Eric McConeghy (deceased), Ellie Nigro (Gary), Nick McConeghy (Allison), Rob Henry (Caitlyn), Katie Stanski (Mike), Leigh Henry, Michelle Erba, Martha Henry, Patrick O'Hara (Caroline), Grace O'Hara and Will O'Hara. May our beautiful mother rest in peace. Loretta will be deeply missed by all of us, including her 5 greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. We will remember her as a beautiful, kind, Christian woman who spoke well of everyone. She loved the Lord and was a faithful Catholic everyday of her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00PM, Friday, April 6, 2018 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church of Ponte Vedra Beach, with Rev. David Keegan as Celebrant.
