Sandra L. Drda
Edwardsville - Sandra "Sandy" L. Drda, age 87, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Addington Place of Edwardsville. Sandra was born on December 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Wilbert L. & Given M. (Daniel) Lerch. Sandra's mother passed away when she was five and her father then married Alberta L. Best. Wilbert then passed and Alberta married Ray E. Neuenschwander. Sandra married Linden A. Drda on November 17, 1954, at Eden Church in Edwardsville. Besides her husband of 69 years, Sandra is survived by a son, Steven L. Drda & his wife Charmaine, of Edwardsville, IL; a sister, Sue Wooden, of Edwardsville, IL; a brother, Craig Neuenschwander & his wife Linda, of Edwardsville, IL; and 2 nieces. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, stepparents, and a nephew. Sandra started a clothing store Sandy's LTD Limited in 1985 in Edwardsville and ran the shop for almost 25 years before her retirement. While running the shop she was able to create many lifelong friendships and travel with her husband on numerous business trips. She was a past president of the Edwardsville Junior Service Club. Sandy also enjoyed time with many of her friends in Bridge Club and Supper Club. A memorial visitation will be on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A private interment will take place at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL. Family request memorials to the Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may be expressed at weberfuneralhome.com.
