Theodore Georgeff Obituary
He was born on Feb. 8, 1915, in Gran ite City, the son of the late Marco and Elena Vasileff George f f.
He married Angeline "Lena" Ferro on Oct. 12, 1 946, at St. Mark 's Catholic Church in venice. She preceded him in de ath on Jan. 20, 2 005.
He is survived by two sons: Duane Georgeff and wife, Do nise of Edwardsville, and Dale Georgeff and wife, Barbara of Maryvil le; four grandchildren: Eric and Cory Georgeff, Andrea Pernick a, and Julie Lehman; three great-grandchildren: Brice and Brian na Pernicka and Madelyn Lehman; a sister: M. Jo George ff Hulsey of Granite City; a brother: Vassil Georgeff and wife , Frances of Gra nite City; and other extended family and friends.
I n additio n to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother: Nicholas Geo rgeff; and a siste r: Lucille Georgeff.
Mr. Georgeff retired in 1983 as a pat tern grade r with Bridal Originals in St. Louis. He was a ve teran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country during W orld War II. His memberships included the American Legion Post 3 07 and the Italian/Amer ican Club.
Visitation w ill be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 19, at Irwi n Chapel, 3 960 Maryville Road in Granite City.
A mass of Christian burial will begin at 9 a.m. on S aturday, May 20 , at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Granit e City with Fr. Larry Brunette, celebrant, offici ating.
Int erment w ill be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Glen Car bon.
Memor i als are suggested to the American Diabetes, Heart A ssociation or masses.
