San Angelo
Aurelia Luna Garcia, 88, of San Angelo went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017.
Born April 23, 1928, to Malcolm Luna (Apa) and Mary (Ama) Hernandez in Melvin, Texas; she was one of six children. Aurelia (Ann) married Celestino C. Garcia Sr. in 1947. In that union were born three sons and two daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Celestino Garcia; three brothers, a sister, and also a son, Celestino Garcia Jr.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Garcia and David L. Garcia; two daughters, Eva L. Garcia and Juanita McGrew, all of San Angelo. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 12, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Chapel services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Oh what an angel heaven has been blessed with. I had the pleasure of meeting and assisting her while working at the nursing home. I always looked forward to seeing n chatting with her when i arrived to work. She will truly be missed and never forgotten. R.I.P. Sweet Lady
