I knew Helen from her time spent at Rio Concho West. It was always a pleasure for me to go work at her home because she always had a smile on her face and she was always a joy to be around. I have a live oak tree planted in my yard that inadvertently got it's start when an acorn fell into a potted plant that she had in her front yard. The tree has grown over the years and now is over 20 feet tall,it gives me a good feeling to know that in the year's to come, when I look at that tree I will think about her and all of the fun times we had. God bless her and her family.

I all my 31 plus years at GTE Helen was the best manager I ever worked with! Loyal, dedicated, tough minded for service, but extremely fair when supporting her team. Believed in postive reinforcement, but was always as quick as a hiccup when it came to helping you improve your performance ...
Chief Operators were the core of the old telephone companies... I supect there are none left in our USA Network ... No mind anyway none would be up to the level of Helen ...
When vexed she would say "Shavings" !!!
True pioneer of love ...

Helen did so much for me. Hiring me right out of high school at the age of seventeen. I know there were times she must have said what was I thinking. I was nothing like my sisters that she had hired before me. She stuck with me though and helped me move on in life. She was a very caring special beautiful lady. My prayers are with her family.

Best supervisor I ever had. Loved Helen so much and got a chance to reconnect with her a few years ago. She was always a loving, caring person.

Grandmother, you are greatly missed! However, we are at such peace knowing that you are in heaven now with your parents and Laurel and many friends and family members. That brings us great joy! THANK YOU for being such an amazing example of how to run and finish the race of life well. My life was richly blessed by your love, example, your heart and your acceptance of not only me, but Keith and our kids. We ALL are grieving, but can't wait until that day we are reunited again. I love you so, so much and am so grateful that I was blessed to have YOU as a grandmother. Don't worry we are all taken care of. Enjoy your rest, you've earned it. ~ Melanie
