STEVEN CAMPBELL GRILLEY

STEPHENVILLE - Steven Campbell Grilley, 53, of Stephenville, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at his residence, after a long battle with cancer. During this time of ups and downs, he maintained a fighting spirit. He met each challenge head-on with determination. He is admired for his perseverance, strength, and integrity. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, in Lacy Funeral Home chapel with Lyn Rice officiating. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home. Steven Campbell Grilley was born on April 7, 1953, to Edmund and Cornelia Campbell Grilley in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Linda Watson on Feb. 6, 1999, in Salado, Texas. He was a family man and loved spending time with family and friends. Steve had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke around. He was the ultimate handyman. His friends called him "Dr. G" because he could fix anything. He had an undying passion for adventure and a real need for speed. Steve enjoyed time spent at the lake in his boat, camping, and racing events. Survivors include his wife, Linda Grilley; one son, Kade Watson; one sister-in-law, Georgia Grilley; three nieces, Elicia Grilley Green, Lauren and Abigail Grilley; many cousins, Mary Ann, Coral and Caleb Kawaja, Janet Campbell, Austin and Sara Campbell, Holten Campbell, Charisa Almager and John Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Cornelia Grilley; one brother, Phillip Grilley; and a cousin, Scott Campbell. Steven will be greatly missed but will live in our hearts forever.
