Yolanda Alcazar Flores, age 70, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away Thursday June 18, 2015, at her residence in San Angelo.

She was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Edinburg, Texas, to Pedro Alcazar Sr. and Eva (Garza) Alcazar. She graduated from Rio Grande City High School. She graduated from Howard College with honors with an accounting degree. She married Jerry Flores on June 9, 1975, in Lubbock, Texas. She has lived in San Angelo since 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in San Angelo. Yolanda was truly a wonderful human being; beautiful, intelligent, hardworking, thoughtful, giving and immensely loving. Everyone who knew her felt her kindness. Her life impacted us all profoundly and she will be terribly missed. Yolanda will best be remembered for her devotion to faith, family, friends and community.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brady. Interment will follow in Melvin Cemetery in Melvin. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady.

Pallbearers will be Theron Alcazar, Robert Alcazar, Alfred Garcia, Steven Garcia, Ian Bazan and James Flores.

Yolanda Alcazar Flores is survived by her husband, Jerry Flores of San Angelo; brothers Fermin Alcazar and wife Thelma of Rio Grande City, Texas, Pedro "Pete" Alcazar Jr. and wife Amy of Midland, Texas, Luis Alcazar and wife Debbie of Lubbock, Texas, and Tony Alcazar and wife Evelyn of Levelland, Texas; sisters Josefina A. Saldana and husband Abel of Lewisville, Texas, Maria Alcazar of Levelland, Texas, Olivia Fraga of McAllen, Texas, Veronica Alcazar Bazan and husband Elliott of San Marcos, Texas, and Rebecca Alcazar Darden and husband Paul of Sundown, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial contributions in memory of Yolanda Alcazar Flores may be made to the Melvin Cemetery Association, 704 South Noyes, Melvin, TX 76858.

Her smile, laughter, positive outlook, compassion and love will be missed by all those lives she touched at Sagecrest.
