I used to work Holland Home during my time at Calvin University. Harv was my favorite resident by far. I left there in May of 2020, but just randomly thought about him. I am sorry to read of his death. He was truly the light of my week. He was always in good spirits and never had a bad thing to say. He showed genuine care in my life and would remember small details: like if I had a test the following week or date with my boyfriend. He was always asking for updates in my life. You were truly blessed to have such a great man of God in your family.

So sorry to read this news. Harv and I first became acquainted when we served together many years ago on the Sylvan Chr. School Board together. And then re-acquainted at Raybrook many years ago. I last saw him in March when I was doing devotions in his dining room while
he lived in DeVos I Assisted Living. He truly was a man of God. My sympathy to all of you. He will be missed.
