Monica Campbell Obituary

HAVRE - Monica Sue (Badgley) Campbell, 38, died Saturday in a vehicle rollover near Havre.
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home chapel. Her funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at the 5th Avenue Christian Church in Havre, followed by a fellowship lunch at the church. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
Monica was born Jan. 14, 1972, in Havre, Mont., to Michael and Judy (Meyers) Badgley. She was raised and educated in Havre, and graduated from Havre High School in 1990.
She married her true love, A.J. Campbell, on Sept. 29, 1990. Together they made their home north of Havre on the family farm. Monica quickly adapted to farm life and said she would never move back to town because she just loved the farm. She worked side by side with the love of her life, A.J., for 19 years. Monica and A.J. were blessed with two sons, Raymond and Carson. Monica loved her boys: A.J., Raymond, Carson and father-in-law Bud. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt and cousin, and was a friend to many. All who knew Monica loved her and considered her a friend. She greeted everyone with a warm smile and joyful heart.
Monica loved spending time with her brother Michael, Lori and "Dano Boy." Michael and Monica were always close. He was her guinea pig. If Michael did it and got away with it, then Monica did it too. They grew up together, played together, laughed together, cried together and were best friends.
Monica enjoyed life, and all of the people she would meet along the way. She worked part time at the 5th Avenue Grind, and was a full-time farm wife and mother. She volunteered at the St. Jude School, where her children attended, and was a member of the St. Jude Booster Club. She was a member of 5th Avenue Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school and worked with junior high and high school youth. All the kids at the church and the Bridge loved "their Monica."
She was known for her loving nature, compassion, and her great love and devotion to Jesus Christ. She was a kind person who sacrificed her own personal well-being for others and never asked for anything in return.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Donald and Sophie Meyers; paternal grandfather and grandmother William J. and Marjorie Badgley; her nephew, Ryan Valdez; and her mother-in-law, Sis Campbell.
Monica is survived by her husband of 19 years, A.J. Campbell, and their two sons, Raymond and Carson, all of north Havre, Mont.; her parents, Michael and Judy Badgley of Havre; her brother and sister-in-law Michael (Lori) Badgley of Ulm, Mont.; sister Michelle (Jim) Harris of Rockingham, N.C.; father-in-law Bud Campbell of Havre; nephews Daniel Badgley, Tyler, Henry and O'Ryan Valdez; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials in Monica's honor may be made to the 5th Avenue Christian Church or Pioneer Bible Translators.

My Life is but a weaving
between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors
He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow
And I, in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the upper,
And I the under side.

Not til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

He knows, He loves, He cares,
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives His very best to those
Who leave the choice with Him.

What do you say to someone who has lost the love of his life, to children who lost their mother, to the parents and sibling. My heart is breaking for you, i can not image the pain. Monica was someone who when you first meet, she made a place in your heart. She will be missed and loved, but never out of our hearts.
