Michael Moffett Obituary

Mike was born in Milwaukee, WI, in August 1960 to Jerry and Laverne Moffett. In the summer of 1965, the family moved to Omaha, NE. Two more of Mike’s siblings were born in Omaha, bringing the total to nine - Patty, Kathy, Peggy, Mike, Jim, Jean, Eileen, Tom, and Terri. Mike attended St. Pius X, Westbrook Middle School, and Westside High. Mike’s love of cars led to more schooling, and Mike became a talented engine mechanic for more than 40 years. Mike was known as “Doc” to friends and family alike.

Mike met Mary Jo Cecetka after high school, and together had a beautiful daughter Shannon. Shannon and Jason have two children themselves, Katelyn and Sean. Katelyn is currently involved in social work in the Seattle area, while Sean is in middle school.

Later on, Mike and Kelley found each other, and married November 14, 2005. They have enjoyed many years together, as well as the company of their beloved dogs. The family asks friends and acquaintances to remember Mike by reflecting on a favorite story!
