Glenn "Woody" Yarwood Sr.

Glenn "Woody" Martin Yarwood Sr., age 80, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born in Decorah, Iowa on January 8, 1945 to Earl Stanley and Gertrude Matilda (Livingood) Yarwood.

After serving in the United States Army, Woody started a service station in Decorah, Iowa and later worked in the Transportation Industry and retired as a Safety Director. He was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church. In his free time, he also loved to volunteer for the International Truck Driving Championships. Woody was considered an outdoorsman and a "Mr. Fix-It" who enjoyed making things for others. He loved to cook and grill. He loved his pets and cherished the moments he spent with his family.

He is survived by his children, Glenn M. Jr. (Aimee) Yarwood, Leilani C. (Jay) Galbreath, and Brandon (Amanda) Yarwood; seven grandchildren, Derek (Irina) Galbreath, Ross Galbreath, Miranda (Shawn) Fogle, Liz Yarwood, Alex Neely, Aaron (Holly) Mullins, and Delaney Yarwood (Micah); and four great-grandchildren, Hudson Fogle, Lilly Neely, Sawyer Mullins, and Jasper Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gertrude Yarwood; siblings, Clinton Yarwood, John Yarwood, and Joan Thomas; and the mother of his children, Joyce L. Yarwood-Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
