Lorraine Dodds

GREENSBORO Mrs. David Gregg Dodds, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. George Deutschmann, was born November 4, 1916, in Owatonna MN and died September 19, 2018, at Well-Spring in Greensboro, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Sarah Carver officiating. A reception will follow at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel in the Lineberry Center. Interment will be in the church columbarium. In 1951, she and David Gregg Dodds were married in Pittsburgh, PA. Lorraine and David moved to Greensboro in 1953. In 1964, she and her husband opened Karat Gold Corner. She became a member and then fellow of the American Gem Society and a certified gemologist appraiser. When she was 95, she retired from Karat Gold Corner and closed the shop. She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro, North Carolina where her ashes will be interred. Her sisters, Dorothy Stormoen of Alberta Lea, MN and Eileen Wilcox of Independence, MO, as well as sixteen nieces and nephews, survive her.
