Claudia Timmons Obituary
Fair Play
Claudia Wingate Timmons, age 72, of Fair Play, died May 16, 2014, at home. She was born in Columbia, SC, to Eunice Cogburn Wingate and Claude King Wingate. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mac; son Frank; daughter-in-law Brandis Timmons Roberts; grandchildren Alley Wingate, and Magruder Hill Timmons; special friends Herb Caldwell, John Roberts, and Henry Richardson; sister Ann Wingate; and sisters-in-law Sara Kay Jones and Angela Haskell. She was preceded in death by son, Edward Wingate Timmons.
She was an honor graduate of the University of South Carolina, and earned a Masters degree from Clemson University. She was an educator in Columbia and Greenville, and received several awards and acknowledgments throughout her teaching career. She attended Fourth Presbyterian Church and was a member and elder of Townville Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held at Townville Presbyterian Church at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. The family will receive friends at 5:30 pm in the church social hall.
The family would like to thank the dedicated nurses and staff of Oconee Hospice of the Foothills for their care and compassion over the last several months.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.

Claudia was a dear person who was extremely kind and helpful to me when I first came to teach at Riverside. She touched many lives in her teaching career and my family and I are saddened by her passing. Our deepest sympathy to her family.

Mac ... My deepest sympathies to you & Frank. I know that a star winked on with Claudia's arrival in Heaven.
