David Paul Obituary

David Wilson Paul, Sr.

Greenville - David Wilson Paul, Sr., 71, husband of Sarah "Sally" Waldrep Paul for 46 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2020.

Mr. Paul was born in Greenville to the late Eugene McCauley Paul, Jr. and Martha Faye Wilson Paul. He was an alumnus of Clemson University and an owner of Sanitary Plumbing Contractors. He was a member and past President of the Piedmont Chapter of the Mechanical Contractors of South Carolina. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and a Hillcrest High School booster for the baseball team's Grand Slam Club. David was an avid hunter, gardener, and fisherman. Some of his best memories were made with family and friends on Edisto Island, where he will be dearly missed.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, David Wilson Paul, Jr.; two brothers, Eugene "Sonny" McCauley Paul III and wife Carolyn, and James "Jimmy" Michael Paul and wife Peggy; a brother-in-law, James E. "Jimmy" Waldrep and wife Karen; and a beloved cousin, William "Billy" Plaxico Rudisill, Jr. and wife Penny.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Hopewell UMC Arbor. The family asks to come casual and to bring a lawn chair.

Memorials may be made to Hopewell UMC, P.O. Box 81256, Simpsonville, SC 29680; or to Animal Lovers of Edisto, 8112 Palmetto Road, Edisto Island, SC 29438.
