Faye Medina Obituary
Faye was a very loving person and lived a very full and active life. She greatly loved her children, grandchildren, and great children. She often volunteered her time, supporting activities that her family was involved with; everything from sports and school programs to church. She also gave her support to many organizations in the Anchorage community. She loved to dance, teach, mentor, socialize, and shop. She was known for her smile and witty sense of humor. She loved to travel and had been to many places, all of which she shared with her family. Faye was always willing to be a sounding board when someone to just needed to talk and have someone truly listen.
She is survived by her daughter, Idetta, and son, Larry; 10 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren. Her family and friends will truly miss her.
Visitation and Rosary at 3:00 p.m., Mass of Resurrection at 4:00 p.m. will be held at St. Anthony Parish, 825 Klevin Street, Anchorage on Friday, January 4, 2013.

Idetta, Larry and families, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your dear mother and grandmother. I first met your mom when my family moved to Alaska. I was a small child and Faye was a teenager. We lived close to my Aunt Ida and cousin Faye and I loved them dearly. I felt fortunate to have returned to Alaska a couple times over the years and visit with Faye and meet some of your family. Too many years and miles remained between. I pray that God grants strength and peace to each of you at this difficult time. My mother, Ina, was one of the many sisters of Aunt Ida. Love to all!

Idetta, and Larry- Your mothers mother, Ida, was my mothers sister. Her name was Anna. Our sympathies are with you in your loss. Peace for your mother, my 1st cousin, and comfort to you and yours.

Idetta and Larry I am very sorry for the passing of yor mother. She was one very special lady,I think when god made her he broke the mold. Because I have never met anyone like her again. We loved her being our neighbor.She always had a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed. Just remember she is in a better place now and is not suffering any more. Her and my husband will be in the same place and I am sure they will keep one another laughing. Rest in peace sweet Faye.

Dearest Detta and Family, there are no words that can truly convey how much we cared for "Grandma Faye". She was such a Beautiful, Loving Soul. Please feel our Love through the Hugs of our grandsons. Love and Prayers to all~~
