Goldia Huffstetler Obituary

Goldia Abaline Robinson Huffstetler, born March 16, 1918, died on February 11, 2010 at her home, 478 Robin Lane, Waterloo, SC 29384.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd C. Huffstetler, Sr., her parents, William T. and Sarah Jane Lingerfeldt Robinson, and twelve siblings.

Goldia's children are Tommy Chapman (Michael) and Jan Campbell (Wallace) of Waterloo, S.C., Sherry Campbell of Greensboro, N.C., and L. Craig Huffstetler, Jr. (Tami) of Easley, S.C. She had 10 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Raised in Belmont, N.C., she attended The Women's College of UNC in Greensboro, and retired from the U.S. Government, Civil Service. As a hobby, she created beautiful artwork from dried floral petals.

Hundreds of these cherished flower pictures were given to loved family and friends over the years.

Goldia was the center of love for the family, and her children are blessed to have had her as their mother. We keep her alive in our hearts so she will always be with us.

In lieu of flowers, Goldia may be honored by contributions made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, Inc., 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.

As per Goldia's wishes, her ashes will be scattered at a later date.
